Excavator Operations Training costs $850 per person

Standard Excavator Training Course:

A standard course includes 2 days of training and assessment. The training consists of face to face in a classroom training with practical machine activities outside.

Training dates could be organised at different times to suit you. Please contact us to see if this is achievable. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients, provided there are suitable facilities.

The amount of learning will be influenced by the capability, experience and prior knowledge and skills including the LLN level of each participant.

Overview:

This unit includes the theoretical and practical components of Excavator operations in the civil construction industry.

It includes planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of the Excavator, including stripping/ spreading topsoil and materials; lifting, loading vehicles, bulk excavations, trench excavation, battering, benching, mixing materials; stockpiling, changing attachments, relocating the Excavator; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

The course suits anyone who wishes to operate an Excavator within the Resources, Construction and Infrastructure industries.

Outcomes of Excavator Training:

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Statement of Attainment’ certifying competence of the unit. Participants will also be issued a wallet card on successful completion of the course.

RPL:

LT Training offers RPL only to clients who have had considerable documented experience operating an Excavator. For example, if the client holds the previous Work Health and Safety licence with current evidence of operating the machine.

Payment Option:

Full payment for the course must be made at the time of booking.

Further Information on Excavator Training:

All training aids and safety equipment are provided for use as required. Maximum student numbers exist depending on the facility.

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to operate an excavator in the civil, construction and resources industry. The level of work performed will be due to the operator’s experience.
