Cost: 
$2490 per person online e-learning and self-paced. Online course cost could vary due to student's circumstances. This will be established with enrolment. Full time course cost is $3490
Standard Course: 

The course is developed to be conducted online e-learning with workplace practical activities to be signed off by your trainer/supervisor and assessor.  The time to complete this qualification is up to 2 years.   Duration may be dependent upon participant numbers, delivery styles and employer facilitation. 
The course could be delivered full time for a period of 13 weeks provided minimum student numbers have been met. Please contact the office. 

 

Overview: 

The qualification enables individuals to select a cropping or livestock context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both. Industry expects individuals with this qualification to carry out routine tasks under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work. Job roles vary across different industry sectors and may include:

• Farm hand

• Farm or Station worker

• Animal attendant/stockperson 

It includes the theoretical and practical components of eighteen (18) units of competency.

Outcomes: 

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Certificate II in Agriculture AHC20116’ certifying competence of the 18 units completed.  

Course Delivery: 

The course is developed to be delivered online e-learning. Some units will have to be block training face to face if elected. 
For students that are already employed in the industry:  
Your supervisor will play a large part in the practical tasks.  Visits by your trainer and assessor will be organised with enrolment. 
For students that are not employed and wishes to gain employment in the industry:
Regular training and assessment activities will be organised with the student. This could be at your own place or designated farm or station enterprises or at LT Training’s training facilities with enrolment.  

 

RPL: 
LT Training will consider RPL for the units of competency if applicant can provide sufficient evidence.
Payment Option: 
Full payment must be made at the time of booking. A deposit of $1500 is required with enrolment to secure your placement and the remainder amount is due when the course is due to start.
