Standard Course: 

 The course is developed to be conducted online e-learning with practical activities to be signed off by your trainer/supervisor and assessor.  

The whole course might be delivered full time, face to face at LT Training’s facility and visiting horticulture enterprises to cover all selection criteria. Three days per week. (Minimum of 8 students required for full time). The minimum duration of the full time face to face course is approximately 15 weeks full time with a maximum of 24 months part time.

Overview: 

This qualification underpins a range of work functions and job roles that can lead to a horticultural trade qualification. It includes the theoretical and practical components of fifteen (15) units of competency. The units will contribute to a competent horticulture trade worker in a wide variety of workplaces for example nurseries, landscaping businesses, production horticulture farms, parks and gardens, irrigation businesses, floriculture and many more.

Pre-Requisites: 

There are no entry requirements for the certificate.  However students should have a reasonable fitness and physical ability level and have an interest in horticulture.

The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete a total of 15 units:

Outcomes: 

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Certificate II in Horticulture AHC20416’ certifying competence of the 15 units completed.  

Course Delivery: 

The course is developed to be delivered online e-learning. Some units will have to be block training face to face if elected.

For students that are already employed in the industry: 

Visits by your trainer and assessor will be organised with enrolment.

For students that are not employed and wishes to gain employment in the industry:

Training and assessment activities will be organised with the student at designated horticulture enterprises or at LT Training’s training facilities with enrolment if needed. 

Full time face to face training is conducted at the LT Training Nambour facility. Nambour PCYC,   Youth Avenue, Nambour QLD 4560. Please contact office to confirm start dates.

RPL: 
LT Training will consider RPL for the units of competency if applicant can provide sufficient evidence. Previous experience will be acknowledged during a course.
Payment Option: 
Full payment must be made at the time of booking. A deposit of $1500 is required with enrolment to secure your placement and the remainder amount is due when the course is due to start.

All training aids and safety equipment are provided for use as required with the full-time course.
