A standard course includes 6 hours of training and assessment. We require a minimum of 5 students in the North Pine area. Contact us to organise dates.
The training consists of face to face in a class room training with some practical activities outside.
White Card training includes the theoretical and practical components of the unit CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. If you plan to work in the construction industry in Australia, you need a Construction Induction card or what is commonly known as “White Card". White Card is a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry.
The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
There are no entry requirements for these courses.
CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Statement of Attainment’ certifying competence of the unit. Participants will also be issued a Work Health and Safety Queensland "white card" on successful completion of the course
White Card face to face training is conducted at the LT Training North Pine PCYC Bray Park facility. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients and schools.
All training aids and safety equipment are provided for use as required. Maximum student numbers exist depending on the facility.
Applicants need to be 15+ to apply for this training. White Card training relates directly to the induction program as specified by Chapter 6 Construction work, Part 6.5 General construction induction training, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.
