Cost:
- AHC20422 Certificate II in Horticulture is $3090 per person. Soft copy documents are e-learning and self-paced. Soft copy course costs could vary due to a student’s circumstances and location. This will be established with enrolment.
- Soft copy online means Word documents, PDFs, PowerPoints, videos. Word documents or PDFs are to be completed on your computer or printed by you.
- Hard copy delivery is also available. The costs will be $660 ontop of the course fee to compensate for printing and mailing costs. Students will receive printed learning material and assessments with Australia Post.
Funding is available for eligible employees and school students.
LT Training is a Queensland Skills Assured Supplier (SAS) for this qualification. Contact your employer if you are already employed in the industry and wants to choose LT Training as your Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO). Eligible trainees that meet the Queensland state funding requirements will be charged a set fee per nominal hour. These fees are calculated at a regulated rate of $1.60 per nominal hour. Concession rates apply for students who hold a current Health Care Card or who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Learners currently employed:
The duration of this course is 12 months for learners who are employed in the industry. The course is developed to be conducted as soft copy e-learning with practical activities to be signed off by your trainer/supervisor and assessor. The duration may vary due to learner experience and employer facilitation.

Overview of AHC20422 Certificate II in Horticulture:
This qualification underpins a range of work functions and job roles that can lead to a horticultural trade qualification. It includes the theoretical and practical components of fifteen (15) units of competency. The units will contribute to a competent horticulture trade worker in a wide variety of workplaces for example nurseries, landscaping businesses, production horticulture farms, parks and gardens, irrigation businesses, floriculture and many more.
During the Certificate II in Horticulture course, you will learn and develop skills and knowledge of treating weeds, recognising and identifying different plants, assisting with landscape construction work, how to operate and maintain machinery such as chainsaws and how to propagate plants. Our trainers work in the industry and have many years of experience behind them, they have helped students of all learning levels complete this course
Pre-Requisites:
There are no entry requirements for the certificate. However, students should have reasonable fitness and physical ability level and be interested in horticulture.
Units:
The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete a total of 15 units:

Outcomes of Certificate II in Horticulture:
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Certificate II in Horticulture AHC20422’ certifying competence of the 15 units completed.
Course Delivery:
The course is developed to be delivered as soft copy e-learning. Some units will have to be block training face to face if elected.

For students who are already employed in the industry:
Visits by your trainer and assessor will be organised with enrolment.
For students who are not employed and wish to gain employment in the industry:
Training and assessment activities will be organised with the student at designated horticulture enterprises or at LT Training’s training facilities with enrolment. Depending on your location and experience there could be additional costs to cover for travel and accommodation.
Full-time face to face training can be conducted at the LT Training Nambour facility. Nambour PCYC, Youth Avenue, Nambour QLD 4560.

You must ensure a good, stable internet connection and the ability of your device to play sound.
All training aids and safety equipment are provided for use as required with the full-time course.
