FAQ about Walkie Stacker Training

Q. Is there a licence for walkie stacker or also known as Pedestrian operated forklift?

A. No, there is no national license required to operate a walkie stacker in Australia. However, employers are required to provide training to all operators of pedestrian-operated lift trucks, including walkie stackers. This training should cover the safe operation of the equipment, as well as the hazards associated with its use. But we recommend you have a Forklift Licence as a walkie stacker is high risk.

Q. Is a Walkie Stacker the same as a Forklift?

A. No, a walkie stacker is not the same as a forklift. They are both material handling equipment, but they have different capabilities and are used for different purposes. Walkie stackers are smaller and more maneuverable than forklifts.
